Like many children, (and adults!), Yani has never learnt how to predict the consequences of his actions – and therefore has not learned how to modify and control his own behaviour.

Because he doesn't think about the end result of his immediate actions, he gets into problems and trouble.

Yet now, through the story, Yani learns how to see how a current action may initiate a chain of cause and effect.
